The Common Wombat: Conservation
It can be concluded that the Common Wombats are not in immediate threat of extinction by climate change. The Wombat is generally versatile in selecting an environment to live, and are much more in danger of other human influences; such as infrastructure development pushing them out of their usual habitats, road mortality because of these developments and also disease and introduced species. The Wombat should be monitored for potential declines in number of individuals, but at this stage the species generally remains out of critical concern.
